PROJECT AIM
This consultancy assignment was funded through a grant from the Korean Green Growth Trust Fund.
-analysis of the existing structure of the World Bank study and development of proposals for its optimization in order to increase the relevance of the data obtained for a specific region.
-Translation of the World Bank questionnaires into Russian and Uzbek.
-Administration of the pilot of both questionnaires for 100 respondents (50 each) in Tashkent.
-Encoding in electronic format.
-Work in collaboration with colleagues from the World Bank to revise research plans based on the results of pilot projects.
-Conducting a public transport survey among 500 respondents.
-Conducting a private transport survey among 500 respondents; and
-preparation of the final database by encoding and cleaning the results obtained in accordance with the accepted methodology.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTUAL SERVICES PROVIDED IN THE ASSIGNMENT
-Provide informal feedback to World Bank colleagues on opportunities to improve draft (pilot) versions of the World Bank Public and Private Transport Surveys.
-Translation of two questionnaires into Russian and Uzbek.
-Conducting two types of surveys. The sample size was 50 people for each type of survey (i.e. a total of 100 people).
-Coding (i.e. converting into an electronic format, where appropriate), translating and «cleaning» pilot survey results.
-Preliminary analysis of the pilot results and provide informal feedback on how the surveys could be best revised / amended in advance of launching finalized versions.
-Responsible for administering the revised World Bank Private Transport Survey to 1000 respondents in Tashkent.
-Final survey results available in English-language Excel format.
